Red Planet and IP Payments (a leading payment gateway provider) have entered into an agreement to jointly develop a secure and cost effective solution for Electronic Fund Transfers (Direct Debits, Direct Credits and Credit cards) for Odyssey users.

The solution will be PCIDSS compliant meaning tokens instead of credit card numbers will be stored in the Odyssey database. There will be a direct link from Odyssey to IP Payments so when an EFT file is created, it is sent directly to the banks, rather than saving a human readable file on a network drive which then has to be manually uploaded via your bank’s web interface. This new process is more secure and eliminates the chance of the file being tampered with at any stage of the process.
