Red Planet Software Flies the Flag for Insurance Industry, Raises $1 Million for RFDS
Red Planet Software (RPS), a global leader in premium funding and lending technology, has helped the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) reach a record-breaking milestone – $1,000,000 raised in a single event through the Red Planet Software Outback Air Race 2025.
The biennial aviation fundraising event spanned 3,800km across 10 outback airstrips, with 37 aircraft flying in support of remote healthcare. Since its inception in 1996, the race has now raised more than $5 million for the RFDS.
Insurance innovation meets community purpose
For RPS, the sponsorship was more than brand visibility.
CEO Peter Williams took the pilot’s seat himself, completing his fifth Outback Air Race as Captain of Team 36 The Three Amigos.
“Raising $1 million is more than a milestone – it’s a lifeline,” Williams said.
“In the insurance industry, our software exists to protect businesses and clients when it matters most. This race was about carrying that same promise beyond the desk and into the skies.”
